Recently, the Sugar Alcohol Project of Thailand hit a major milestone: it obtained the Isomaltitol Production License officially on November 3. This achievement not only grants the project formal market access for its products, but also lays a solid foundation for large-scale manufacturing and market expansion of sugar alcohol products of Newtrend Food Ingredient (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
As a key fine chemical project overseas under Newtrend Group’s global layout, the project was approved for initiation in October 2023, with civil construction officially commencing in July 2024. During construction, the Thailand project team overcame numerous hurdles including overseas construction environment discrepancies and complex supply chain coordination. Adhering to strict dual standards of quality and schedule control, the team completed factory construction and installation of core production equipment within only 10 months, finishing both civil works and equipment setup by early May 2025.​
The project then swiftly moved to trial production. Material-based commissioning kicked off on May 20. The technical team focused on process optimization, equipment linkage testing and quality management, successfully running the full production line with stable operational workflows by late July. The first batch of qualified finished products rolled off the line in late August, All product parameters comply with world-class standards per third-party professional testing verification.
Following successful trial production validation, the project team passed official reviews in compliance with requirements set by IEAT. Of Thailand.The official Isomaltitol Production License was issued on November 3. This license fully attests that the Thailand production base is equipped with all required technical capabilities, specialized production equipment and quality management systems for compliant manufacturing, while delivering critical qualification support for the large-scale production of sugar alcohols
Going forward, the Thailand production base will take this license as a new starting point to deepen its presence in the functional sugar alcohol sector. While expanding production capacity, the base will continuously upgrade manufacturing processes and product quality to boost the Group’s core competitiveness. It will make greater contributions to Newtrend’s expansion into broader domestic and global markets and the achievement of high-quality development.
